1• What is Dubai Smart Travel?
Dubai Smart Travel is a project that digitizes the public sector payments for sea and land borders across United Arab Emirates. Dubai Smart Travel is a 4-click seamless solution that replaces a slow and cash intensive border payment journeys. The app allows individuals to purchase entry and exit vouchers to cross the borders. By downloading the app, the customers will purchase the vouchers faster and from anywhere, which will make them avoid long queuing at the borders, reduce time waste and limit physical transactions.
2• Who should use Dubai Smart Travel GDRFA Web Portal?
The GDRFA Portal can be accessed by the Immigration Officers and the Financial Management of GDRFA. The Immigration officer can check and validate the vouchers at the borders and also view the statuses of all the vouchers that have been purchased. The Financial Management Team can have access to all the data analytics and view all the transactional history.
3• What do I need to register for Dubai Smart Travel GDRFA Web Portal?
GDRFA Immigration Officers and the Financial Management Team will receive their email address and password from Dubai Smart Travel Customer Support Team via email.

1• How can I get access to the Dubai Smart Travel back-office application?
A template list of contact details will be provided to GDRFA to be filled out. Once completed, CBD will create the credentials for each user and share them with GDRFA. In case, GDRFA team would like to add new users, they can reach out to us via email at [email protected].
2• How does the immigration user validate the voucher?
At the border, the immigration officer will have to connect to the Dubai Smart Travel Platform and then click on “Immigration Officer”. After Sign in, the Immigration Officer will have to either enter the voucher number or scan the QR code. The Immigration officer will then check the voucher status to check if it is valid or expired, and if valid will process the voucher.
3• In the case that the immigration officer does not validate the voucher and would like to proceed to refund, what is the process?
The immigration officer cannot proceed to refund. For a refund, the traveler will have to head out to the CBD Agent counter and request a refund.
